Polluted air is drawn into the Zephyr through air intakes located on each side of the machine. The polluted air then passes through the Zephyr’s 7 Stage Filtration System and clean air is returned to your home or office out of the top of the machine.

The Difference That Makes The Difference
With our 7 Stage Filtration process, each layer does a specific job—so together they outperform single-filter designs. First, the pre-filter grabs hair and lint. The pre-filter is doing the heavy lifting by catching hair and lint first; meanwhile, the HEPA media darkens as it traps fine dust, smoke, and allergens. The activated carbon is busy adsorbing odors and VOCs, too. This visible change is exactly how our 7 Stage Filtration system keeps airflow strong and performance consistent over time.
12 Months In: How Ventilation & 7-Stage Filtration Keep Air Clean
From brand-new to twelve months, the change you see on the HEPA media is proof of performance—not a problem. In the first three months, the filter begins to grey as it captures fine dust, allergens, and smoke particles. By six to twelve months, the media darkens further and airflow can drop, which signals it’s time to replace the cartridge. Because our 7 Stage Filtration system spreads the work across multiple layers, the HEPA lasts longer, maintains steady CADR, and keeps noise low even as it loads.
